Can I type my own EPUB on Typersguild?
Yes. Premium members upload a .epub file, review the extracted chapters, and type them in the same slate used for public books. Uploads are private to your account.
Upload a book you already have, pick a chapter, and type it with live WPM and accuracy.
Most custom-text typing sites give you a box to paste into, then a sixty-second test. Typersguild is built around books. You can type more than 100 public-domain classics for free — Pride and Prejudice, Dracula, Alice in Wonderland — or, with Premium, bring a book you already have. Upload an EPUB or a plain text file, pick a chapter, and type it in the same slate the public library uses: live WPM, accuracy, and a saved place in the chapter.
Upload itself requires an account. Below is what files work, what Premium adds, and how that compares with the free catalog. Premium includes a 30-day trial, then $4.99 per month or $47.99 per year.
After you start Premium, open Upload Book from the catalog and choose EPUB or text. The flow is the same idea as typing a public title: a book with chapters, not a disposable paste box.
The typing canvas is the same one used for a catalog book. Upload does not switch you to a different trainer.
The upload UI accepts two formats. That is what the file pickers allow, not a longer list of ebook types.
The EPUB picker only accepts files whose name ends in .epub. The parser extracts title, author, language, cover, and chapter text from a standard EPUB. The upload page tells you DRM-protected books will not work: files locked to Kindle, Kobo, or Adobe Digital Editions are not readable as a normal EPUB, so they fail to parse. There is no file-size cap in the upload code.
The text picker accepts .txt files. You can also paste. Body text must be at least 10 characters. Title and author are required. A text upload is saved as one book you type from the start, rather than a table of EPUB chapters.
Premium accounts can keep up to 50 private books. Uploads are for typing practice, not a backup of your ebook library. If you hit the cap, delete a book to upload another. PDF is not offered in the upload UI.
You do not need Premium to type a classic. Free Forever includes the public catalog, Wikipedia articles, real-time WPM and accuracy, basic analytics, all themes and fonts, and typing sounds.
Premium adds EPUB and TXT upload, the premium book collection, notes and highlights, cloud storage and sync, advanced reading analytics, and custom themes. See pricing for the current monthly and yearly amounts.
Premium is $4.99 per month or $47.99 per year. New members get a 30-day trial, then the plan they picked. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee. Checkout runs through Polar. Cancel anytime from your account. For invoices or failed charges, email contact@typersguild.com and mention Polar — never a full card number.
If the book is already in the catalog, type it there. No file, no trial. Upload is for text that is not on Typersguild: a novel you bought as EPUB, lecture notes, a manuscript, or any other DRM-free book you want to practice on. Public titles do not count toward the 50 private-book cap. Your uploads stay private and never appear in the public library.
Custom-text typing tests — paste, sixty seconds, done — are a different product. Here the file becomes a book with a saved place, and the session is the same long-form practice as typing a classic.

Yes. Import a .txt file or paste the text, add a title and author, and save. The body must be at least 10 characters. PDF is not offered in the upload UI.
No. The free plan covers the public catalog and Wikipedia. EPUB and TXT upload is a Premium feature. New members get a 30-day trial. See pricing for current amounts.
Use a DRM-free EPUB. Kindle, Kobo, and Adobe Digital Editions locked files will not parse. The upload code does not enforce a file-size limit. You can keep up to 50 private books.
The book is saved to your private library. You open it, pick a chapter, and type with live WPM and accuracy. Progress is saved to your account.
Those tools usually paste text into a one-off test. Typersguild treats your file as a book: chapters, a saved place in the chapter, and the same WPM and accuracy stats as typing a classic.
