About Typersguild

Type books online to improve speed, accuracy, and focus.

What Typersguild is

Typersguild is a typing practice product at https://typersguild.com. Instead of random word lists, you retype entire books — Pride and Prejudice, 1984, Alice in Wonderland, and more than 100 other public titles — and see live WPM, accuracy, and n-gram analysis of the letter pairs that slow you down. Wikipedia articles are available for shorter sessions. The free plan is enough for daily practice; Premium adds private EPUB uploads, cloud sync, and deeper analytics.

Why type books instead of drills

Disconnected sentences get boring, so people quit. A chapter gives you a reason to stay. Typing every word turns reading into deliberate practice: you build muscle memory, keep attention on the line, and finish a story while your speed numbers move. Typersguild is for students, writers, and anyone who wants that loop — not a 60-second employment test and not a code-typing gym.

How to start

Open the books catalog, pick a title, and type. You can explore public books without an account. Sign in with Google, Discord, or X if you want saved progress. Developers and agents should use the public catalog API documented on the Typersguild developers page — no API key for search and popular books.
